Who we are
Datt Civil is an Auckland-based commercial consultancy working exclusively in civil construction. We come from the estimating, quantity surveying and contract administration side of the industry, and we work the way project teams actually need — close to the site, close to the numbers, and available when a decision has to be made.
Our clients are civil contractors who need estimating capacity at tender time, developers who need independent cost advice they can rely on, and asset owners who need confidence that the contract is being administered properly on their behalf.
How we work
We engage on a project basis or as ongoing commercial support. That might be a single first principle estimate, procurement of a subcontract package, full contract administration from award to final account, or a commercial review of a project that has drifted off budget.
Because we work across the whole project lifecycle, the assumptions made at estimate stage carry through into procurement, cost control and the final account — which is where most of the value, and most of the avoided cost, sits.
